Oseltamivir syrup compounded in the clean room laboratory is indicated for both treatment and prophylaxis of influenza.

Flu treatment – for adults and children, including full-term newborns, who have typical flu-like symptoms. Efficacy is high when treatment is started within two days of the first onset of symptoms.

Flu prophylaxis – for adults and children older than 1 year of age, following direct contact with a clinically diagnosed case of influenza, when the influenza virus is circulating in the community. For children younger than 1 year, post-exposure prevention is carried out during an episode of pandemic influenza.

 ! The preparation does not replace the flu vaccination.

Pharmacological properties

  • Oseltamivir belongs to a group of substances called neuraminidase inhibitors. These prevent the spread of the flu virus in the body and help relieve or prevent the symptoms of flu infection.

Warnings and precautions

The therapeutic approach must be individualized by the doctor, taking into account the severity and type of symptoms.

 

  • Please follow the administration recommended in the prescription!
  • Personalized treatments can be modified depending on your state of health and compliance with the treatment.
  • Do not use more product or more often than recommended.
  • This preparation was prescribed only for the current pathology.
  • Do not use it later for another condition without the doctor's consent.
  • It is recommended, during long-term treatments, a correct and complete communication with the doctor, in order to be able to change the dose according to the evolution of the disease.
  • It is administered orally, as directed by your doctor.
  • It is recommended to shake the bottle well before each administration.
  • It is recommended to carefully measure the administered dose, using the special measuring device attached to the preparation.
  • It is not recommended to administer the preparation in case of sensitivity or allergy to the active substance. If you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, rash, itching or swelling of the face, tongue or throat, severe dizziness, difficulty breathing, seek emergency medical help immediately.
  • Inform your doctor if you have previously taken similar preparations or if you are currently taking other treatments for any other condition.
  • It is recommended to respect the storage conditions specified on the preparation label, in order to benefit from the full therapeutic action and for the preparation to retain its initial physicochemical and organoleptic properties.
  • Depending on the sensitivity of each person, during the administration of the preparation, a slight feeling of nausea and vomiting may occur. Usually, these decrease after the first or second day of treatment. If these symptoms persist or worsen, it is recommended to contact your doctor.
  • The preparation does not contain preservatives or alcohol.
  • The preparation may contain sugar. If you do not want sugar, you can request the preparation with or without sweetener.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Do not use the preparation after the expiry date.
