Pharmacological properties
- Budesonide is a glucocorticosteroid with a high local anti-inflammatory effect. It inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators and cytokine-mediated immune responses.
Warnings and precautions
The therapeutic approach must be individualized by the doctor, taking into account the severity and type of symptoms.

- If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, stomatitis or loose stools occur, please consult your doctor.
- This compounded preparation is not suitable (recommended) for patients with Crohn's disease localized at the upper gastrointestinal tract. Because this compounded preparation has predominantly local action, it is unlikely to be effective in patients with extraintestinal symptoms of the disease (e.g. those affecting the skin, eyes or joints).
- Systemic effects of glucocorticosteroids may occur, especially if prescribed in high doses and for prolonged periods. Such effects may include iatrogenic Cushing's syndrome, adrenal suppression, growth retardation, low bone mineral density, cataracts, glaucoma, and a wide variety of psychiatric/behavioral manifestations.

- Do not use the compounded preparation after the expiration date.
