The imiquimod cream compounded in the clean room laboratory is indicated in the topical treatment of external genital and perianal condyloma (condylomata acuminata), small superficial basal cell carcinomas (sBCCs), actinic keratosis.

Pharmacological properties
- Imiquimod is a topical immunomodulator. When applied topically, it acts locally on the immune system to trigger the release of cytokines and interferon.
- This helps destroy the viruses that cause condyloma or abnormal skin cells.
- 3g of cream is the equivalent of 12 sachets of 250ml
Warnings and precautions
The therapeutic approach must be individualized by the doctor, taking into account the severity and type of symptoms.

- Do not use more product or more often than recommended.
- This preparation was prescribed only for the current pathology.
- Do not use it later for another condition without the doctor's consent.
- It is recommended, during long-term treatments, a correct and complete communication with the doctor, in order to be able to change the dose according to the evolution of the disease.
- It is not recommended to take the preparation in case of sensitivity or allergy to the active substance.
- Do not use more or less than the dose prescribed by your doctor.
- Avoid contact with eyes, lips and nostrils.
- Imiquimod has the potential to exacerbate inflammatory skin diseases.
- Imiquimod cream should be used with caution in patients with autoimmune diseases.
- Imiquimod cream should be used with caution in patients with organ transplant.
- Treatment with imiquimod cream is not recommended until the skin has completely healed from any previous medication or surgical treatment. Application to damaged skin may increase systemic absorption leading to an increased risk of adverse reactions.
- The use of occlusive dressings during treatment is not recommended.
- Rarely, intense local inflammatory reactions, including moist eczema or erosion, may occur after only a few applications of imiquimod cream. Local inflammatory reactions may be accompanied by, or even preceded by, systemic flu-like signs and symptoms including: malaise, fever, nausea, myalgias and chills. Dose interruption should be considered.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
- Do not use the compounded preparation after the expiration date.
