Hydroquinone cream 4% compounded in our clean room laboratory is mainly used for melasma, freckles and other unwanted areas of hyperpigmentation.

Pharmacological properties
- Hydroquinone isa classic depigmentation agent that exerts its effect by inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme involved in the melanin synthesis process.
Warnings and precautions
The therapeutic approach must be individualized by the doctor, taking into account the severity and type of symptoms.
- Please follow the administration recommended in the prescription!
- Personalized treatments can be modified depending on your state of health and compliance with the treatment.
- Do not use more product or more often than recommended.
- This preparation was prescribed only for the current pathology.
- Do not use it later for another condition without the doctor's consent.
- It is recommended, during long-term treatments, a correct and complete communication with the doctor, in order to be able to change the dose according to the evolution of the disease.
- It is not recommended to take the preparation in case of sensitivity or allergy to the active substance.
- It is recommended to avoid sun exposure during treatment, as hydroquinone may cause photosensitivity.
- It is recommended to use a product with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50+) – applied 30 minutes before leaving the house or before sun exposure.
- Use under occlusive dressing is not recommended.
- Avoid contact with eyes or other mucous membranes.
- Avoid using the preparation around the eye area, unless your doctor recommends it.
- Do not use the preparation on irritated skin or any other infected or reddened area without the doctor's consent.
- Hydroquinone can cause, in the short term, the halo effect (transient depigmentation).
- It is recommended to apply in a thin layer, after cleaning the area beforehand.
- On dry or sensitive skin, a feeling of dryness and slight additional irritation may occur. This usually subsides as the skin adapts to the treatment.
- Do not use other preparations containing vitamin C, retinol, acids, etc., without your doctor's consent.
- If the pigmented area is very extensive, it must be treated in different cycles.
- Depigmentation is not immediate, so when treatment is interrupted without the doctor's consent, melanin production resumes, and the effect obtained up to that point diminishes.
- The preparation does not contain synthetic dyes, stabilizers, heavy metals, propylene glycol, minerals, parabens, DEA, TEA, MEA, MIT, PEG, formaldehyde, dimethicone.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
- Do not use the preparation after the expiry date.
