Capsules with micronized estradiol hemihydrate (bioidentical) 2 mg and micronized progesterone (bioidentical) 100 mg (10 cps) + micronized estradiol capsules (bioidentical) 2 mg (11 cps) compounded in our clean room laboratory, are mainly used to correct the symptoms of estrogen deficiency in women in peri- and post-menopause.

Pharmacological properties

  • The progesterone used in this preparation, having a high degree of micronization (10 μm), is chemically identical to endogenous human progesterone (naturally produced in the body) and is therefore a bioidentical hormone. According to the certificate of analysis of the substance, the extraction is plant sourced.
  • The micronized estradiol in this preparation is chemically identical to endogenous human estradiol (produced naturally in the body) and is therefore a bioidentical hormone. According to the certificate of analysis of the substance, the extraction is plant sourced. This is one of the dominant estrogenic hormones for women and it plays an essential role in various physiological processes.

Warnings and precautions

The therapeutic approach must be individualized by the doctor, taking into account the severity and type of symptoms.

  • Please follow the administration recommended in the prescription! 
  • Personalized treatments can be modified depending on your state of health and compliance with the treatment.
  • Do not use more product or more often than recommended.
  • This preparation was prescribed only for the current pathology.
  • Do not use it later for another condition without the doctor's consent.
  • It is recommended, during long-term treatments, a correct and complete communication with the doctor, in order to be able to change the dose according to the evolution of the disease.
  • It is administered orally, according to the doctor's instructions.
  • It is recommended to take the preparation at the same time every day. 
  • If you missed a dose, do not take a double dose to compensate.
  • Inform your doctor if you are undergoing other treatments or have other conditions such as: liver disease, endometriosis, estrogen-dependent malignant tumors, undiagnosed genital bleeding, deep vein thrombosis, thrombophilia, high blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, hypothyroidism, etc.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking anticonvulsants, anti-infectives, antifungals, etc.
  • During this treatment, it is not recommended to consume St. John's wort-based preparations or grapefruit juice. These may influence the therapeutic activity. 
  • It is recommended that you take a complete personal and family medical history test before starting treatment. Periodic check-ups are also necessary, according to medical protocols.
  • Depending on the sensitivity of each person and the dose administered according to the doctor's instructions, during the first months of treatment, heavy bleeding or spotting may occur. If this bleeding occurs after a certain time after starting treatment or continues after stopping treatment, it is recommended to contact your doctor.
  • Depending on the sensitivity of each person and the daily dose administered, this treatment may cause fluid retention in the body, facial hyperpigmentation, migraine, vision problems, high blood pressure, nausea, bloating, various skin conditions, muscle cramps, dysmenorrhea, etc. If these symptoms persist or worsen, it is recommended to contact your doctor.
  • The preparation does not contain gluten.
  • The preparation may contain lactose. In case of intolerance, you can request the preparation without lactose.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Do not use the compounded preparation after the expiration date.
