Pharmacological properties

Dapsone belongs to a class of substances known as sulfones, it has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties, as well as antibacterial and antibiotic properties.

Warnings and precautions

The therapeutic approach must be individualized by the doctor, taking into account the severity and type of symptoms.

  • Please follow the administration recommended in the prescription!
  • Personalized treatments can be modified depending on your state of health and compliance with the treatment.
  • Do not use more product or more often than recommended.
  • This preparation was prescribed only for the current pathology.
  • Do not use it later for another condition without the doctor's consent.
  • It is recommended, during long-term treatments, a correct and complete communication with the doctor, in order to be able to change the dose according to the evolution of the disease.
  • It is administered orally, according to the doctor's instructions.
  • It is recommended to take the preparation at the same time every day.
  • If you missed a dose, do not take a double dose to compensate.
  • The treatment is not influenced by the presence or absence of food. 
  • A break of at least 2 hours is recommended between taking dapsone and other medications to avoid reducing its effectiveness.
  • When indicated by the doctor, the doses can sometimes be progressive.
  • It is recommended to administer the treatment at equal time intervals. 
  • It can cause nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dizziness and blurred vision.
  • If any of these reactions persists or worsens, it is recommended to contact the doctor.
  • If any other adverse reactions occur during the administration of the treatment (fever, chills, bruising, light bleeding, unusual fatigue, yellow eyes or skin, dark urine, pain in the abdomen, rash, etc.), it is recommended to contact your doctor.
  • A very serious allergic reaction to dapsone is rare. However, in the event of the appearance of any symptom such as: severe skin rash, itching or swelling of the face, tongue or throat, severe dizziness, breathing difficulties, it is necessary to request emergency medical assistance.
  • The preparation does not contain gluten.
  • The preparation may contain lactose. In case of intolerance, you can request the preparation without lactose.
  • Keep out of the reach of children. 
  • Do not use the preparation after the expiration date.
